Making Links is a conference that seeks to engage interested people, organisations and groups working at the intersection of social action and IT - including community workers, educators, trainers, not-for-profit organisations, school teachers, environmental campaigners and activists.

Making Links Day 1 Monday, October 29

About 35 people kicked off the first day of the Making Links Conference participating in the workshop, Building and maintaining vibrant social networks for Not For Profits.

Laurel Papworth presented a full day discussing the social network and online community phenomenon which has seen successful corporate sites moving away from static information portals and which has enabled visitors to talk to each other and contribute content using Web 2.0 tools.

The workshop covered the myriad tools and techniques for a successful online social network.
